If your running a 3.55, you'll see around 15.
with 3.70 ,16
Higher the vaccume, more efficiently you can be running.
Your running a 3.07 so 12-13 is common.

About your 3.07 comment, I run at 2500 rpm at 60, so it seems I have a lower gear than stock according to the table you have with your final drives.
I find it hard to believe that this coach has a lower drive though

Have not put a gauge on it yet but I can say that after I removed any and all lines I didn't need...cruise control, emissions etc, and replaced all the others even Sherrie commented that at idle the engine sounded SO much better!!

I bought a hand held Shark vacuum and Helen says it works great!
Oops, you mean engine vacuum! ;-)

I too see in the 15 to 20 range depending on how heavy my foot is. I know my speedo is off 5 to 8 mph(it readys low).
My I always assumed I had the standard final drive. and I dont have a tach, yet>
I installed vacuum gauge hoping it would assist me with better mpg. And I do believe it did that.

All kidding aside Keith, in 40 years of driving everything from cars to trucks to boats to heavy equipment, I have never had a vacuum gauge and I've gotten along just fine. One less thing to worry about.

I don't run with a vacuum gage although I use one for diagnostic purposes. The readings are highly dependent on altitude, but if I'm in the range of 18 to 20 at idle or light cruise, I'm happy.

It's been a year and change... but the last two box truck rentals I needed ended up being Ryder 'city vans', Isuzu cabover diesels with an 18 foot box and a hydraulic lift. Uhaul was only able to offer an admittedly larger truck with greater capacity, but at a price not competitive with the Ryder. One went to San Antonio and back, the other to Kalamazoo and back, both to pick up and bring back 1800 pounds of broadcast transmitter.
Why is it that (apparently) Ryder is the only outfit offering the Isuzu boxes? They're nicle little trucks. Only concern I had was the BWD sometimes reloctaes and knocks the shifter into neutral requiring a return to D and resetting the cruise contriol.

We rent 10, 14, 17, 20 and 26 ft trucks. We try to stay with domestic chassis and also have some concerns whether customers will feel comfortable in cab forward trucks. We only rent gasoline powered units and even though Isuzu builds great trucks, the gasoline version availability has been spotty and the maintenance costs are high. It's an interesting business to say the least !

Bob, we rented two 17 ft trucks, 3 double wheeled trailers, and one single wheel trailer from you guys for our return trip to AL. All people we worked with at U-Haul were very helpful. Because it was over the Christmas Holidays, we were "given" extra days. (Local office closed for Christmas Week).
Only hassle was a load shift keeping the rear door from opening. Young man on 1-800 number was less than helpful.
Lessons learned:
1. Never move over Holidays.
2. Do you own stuff, or does it own you?
